Batangas Express CNG Bus Fares Promo to Batangas City

An officemate of Tutubi who regularly commutes to Tanauan, Batangas from Makati tipped him off about the promo fare of Batangas Express, one of several bus lines to Batangas (some via the Calabarzon i.e. Startoll) e.g. JAM Liner, RRCG, Ceres Transport and JAC Liner in addition to colorum shuttle vans/fx to batangas in Pasay City.

Bus fare to Tanauan, Batangas is currently PhP96.00 but the promo fare is just PhP58.00 (PhP55.00 fare to Sto. Tomas). This is not what regular commuters call "regular" fare referring to discounts given to loyal customers of bus companies. No information on the end date of the promo fare offering.

How can Batangas Express offer such low bus fares? It's due to their use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to power their buses, with re-fueling stations in between. It's cheaper than diesel and gasoline powering ordinary trucks and buses (ordinary meaning common, not the no air-conditioned buses called ordinary colloquially).

No information yet on the current bus fare to Batangas City but it's around PhP200.00. This is good information for those going to Batangas Port to get to Puerto Galera via ferry/boat ride.

Batangas Express bus terminal is on Taft Avenue near corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue (formerly Buendia) in Pasay City and walking distance from LRT Buendia station. It's between the bus station of JAM Transit and Green Star Express. It's main route is, what else, Batangas City.

Information on Batangas Express Telephone Number not yet available. Just contact them directly for other inquiries like current fares, chartered bus rates, freight/waybill charges and trip schedules.

Tutubi, as always, is not in any way affiliated with Batangas Express nor did he receive anything, in cash or in kind, from Batangas Express for this post.
